The German company launches the Porsche Design Honor Magic V2 RSR alongside the Chinese technology company Honor. This mobile phone features a triple camera, OLED foldable screen... and an aesthetic that evokes the 911!

We've known for a while that Porsche is a brand full of geniuses and technology enthusiasts, capable of the best in Zuffenhausen. Now, through the Porsche Design subsidiary and in collaboration with the Chinese company Honor, they have just launched the thinnest foldable smartphone on the market. Furthermore, this phone is inspired by competition and aims to evoke the iconic silhouette of the Nine Eleven with its design... Some initials of its name relate well to the four-wheeled myth. It is called Porsche Design Honor Magic V2 RSR and is now available in official Porsche Centers in our country.

Technical Features of Porsche's Smartphone

Here at Testercar, we are more experts in mechanics than in mobile technology, but if you're interested, you should know some of its highlights. Undoubtedly, what makes it unique is its foldable LTPO OLED screen, capable of displaying 1.070 million colors and incorporating advanced eye protection technologies like 3840Hz PWM Dimming, Dynamic Dimming, and Circadian Night Display.

In this digital, connected, and graphic era, it is essential to equip it with good lenses. Therefore, it features a triple rear camera with Honor Image Engine technology consisting of a main 50-megapixel camera (f/1.9) with optimized image stabilization (OIS), a 20-megapixel telephoto camera (f/2.4) with OIS, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (f/2.0). Some of its most interesting features include night photography with zoom and time-lapse.

The silicon-carbon battery, with a total capacity of 5,000 mAh, allows the user to exceed 48 hours of autonomy, depending on usage. However, what I consider its main asset is its aesthetics. According to the press release, the device is presented in the typical Agate Grey color of Porsche and combines lightweight materials that result in a weight of 234 grams with a thickness of only 9.9 millimeters. "As a novelty, its NanoCrystal Shield provides exceptional durability to the screen, with ten times more scratch resistance," they emphasize.

Do you like it? Well, here comes the bad news... Like any good Porsche, the price will be prohibitive for many (the brand's website lists it for 2,699 euros...)
